there's an adage i read somewhere that goes like this: "If there is to be an economy of meaning and purpose, it must serve and nurture the aspirations of the poor and uneducated ..."

being part of an expedition team documenting the natural and cultural heritage of the phlippines, i have traveled to the most remote areas in the country and have witnessed different degrees of aspirations. what we should do is to create impact in their lives of the people, no matter how modest or small time they may be.

your cangumbang teaching experience made me cry, no doubt about it. any similar experiences would keep me grounded all the time.

let's continue seeing Christ in every person and people we meet in this lifetime. we only live once and let's make the most out of it.
