Sunday!

I got to start my day by sleeping in (thank goodness) and relaxing for the morning. We had our usual toast, orange juice, and coffee for breakfast and later I went out with my roommates for lunch at a place down the road. Almost every store closes on Sunday (except for restaurants, depending) so I'm going to do my shopping tomorrow for my shampoo/conditioner stuff. Later I went out around the neighborhood and just took some pictures. It was very calm on the streets; there weren't a lot of people walking and to me the light is almost as if the sun is perpetually setting. The way it reflects off the walls of buildings and apartments is very golden in hue and beautiful, although it confuses me because you would think it's evening when it's actually 2 in the afternoon. Anyways, I enjoyed that, and only got a few weird looks from the guy diggin through the recycling bin.

Then...Barca game!! I met some friends at the metro and we headed over to the stadium. Sooo many people going in and out of the metro were wearing Barca gear I had to laugh. There were these two little kids that were running around and taking pictures of their mom while they waited for the tram, and they had little barca hats and jerseys on. They were adorable. The tram was packed with people on the way there. It was amazing how many different nationalities were there; I didn't realize how important Spanish soccer was to the whole of Europe.

We got to the stadium and it was amazing. There were places to buy Barca gear on the street before you went in, and we all bought a Barca scarf and then headed in. We ate, checked out the gift shop, (2 stories!) and then went into the stadium. Holy poop it was big! I couldn't believe it. The players seemed miles away but it was an excellent view and you could still read their jersey numbers so it was all good. Barca won 4-2 so it was a very exciting game! They were tied for a while so we definitely yelled a lot. When the game was done, there was this girl who asked us if we would take her picture for her, so we did, and started talking to her and I don't remember where she was from, but she was really nice and took our picture too. It was such an amazing game/night and I loved it!! (even though it was cold)

We pretty much ran back to the metro because it closes at 12, and it was about 11:30, so we went down teh stairs and there was 1,000,000 people crammed together waiting to swipe in through the gates!! :O I know! So naturally, we pushed our way through (with a firm grip on our purses) and managed to get on the tram to the stops we needed to. I had to make a few transfers, and couldn't do my last one because it was closed, so I walked back to the apartment. (Stop freaking out, dad, it was really close and in a good area). I was actually pretty excited because I was craving Fanta really bad and apparently there's a McDonald's on Avigunda Diagonal that stays open late so I got to buy one. The walk back was relaxing; I love the city at night. It really didn't feel that cold while I was walking and I enjoyed the trip back.

And now, I am just finishing this up before I go to bed. I'm not sure if I get breakfast tomorrow since I havent' seen Gloria since 3 and I didn't ask when we were eating. I'll probably just go to a cafe.
