One of the first places to visit will be to the ancient capitol of Zapotecs and one of the first cities in Mesoamerica: Monte Alban! Located in the central valley of Oaxaca, Monte Alban exercised political, economic, and ideological control over the other communities and surrounding mountains. You'll get the chance to imagine an ancient ball game, dance with the "danzantes", and climb the smallest stairs for a spectacular view of the city!
