Wednesday 19th

Last day of visiting places to help out. Its Fundacio Justo y Necesario today. From what we are told the kids of the maids to work at wealthy homes go here to school. Im not sure exactly why we went to this place because it was very nice. Nice neighborhood, nice building, and I don’t know whose it was but there was a BMW SUV parked in the garage. And today we were put to paint. It didn’t look like it needed a paint job, more like they just felt like changing the color just so we would have something to do. I think they actually had two painters that day, one helped us out and told us what to paint, and the other helped him out with preparing the paint. All in all the paint went quick, but it was easy to see everyone’s mood was the same about his place. Why are we here? The place definitely didn’t look like it needed our help. I think I heard John saying that it might be taken off the list of places to go next year, I don’t know. After the paint it was lunch time. An odd spaghetti and meat balls with rice. After lunch four others in the group played soccer with the kids outside. They made it into a game us, America vs. them Ecuador. It was fun to watch. Earlier we saw a slide show. It explained how this place also helps women into talking them out of having an abortion. I guess they talk them out of it and try to help them out a little with the baby. In the end nice, place, but we probably could have done more good somewhere else. I think people kind of just wanted to get out of there and head back to the hotel. Later in the evening all of us went back to Ines Chambers for a pizza party with the kids. The kids were all very happy to see us again which was good feeling. There was dancing again, and I think I was able to get out of it somehow. It was also pretty amusing watching Caveman give Kevin and Ben dance lessons. Me and just tried to get a photo these three guys dancing but they caught on before we could snap the shot. It was kind of sad when we left because you could see that the kids were getting sad when we were leaving. Could easily see it in their eyes and facial expressions. But we had to go, and most of the girls gave their favorite guys little goodbye cards they made.
