I got to see quite a few interesting things in London today!  We started off the day at St. Paul’s cathedral.  We have seen quite a few cathedrals now, but I think this one out does them all.  The splendor itself is interesting enough, but I also enjoyed seeing the crypt down below.  I liked that they randomly stopped for prayer while we were there.  It reminds me that although this is a tourist attraction, it is still a sanctuary for God and is intended to glorify him.

Then I went the British Museum with a group.  That was quite amazing.  It was fascinating to go through the museum and see the history of the different countries.  It’s mind-boggling to think of how much civilization has changed, and yet much still remains the same.  Though our environment and culture has changed, there are some characteristics of people that haven’t changed.  There are still selfish, greedy, horrible people who commit atrocious acts, and there are still kind, good, incredible people who are shaping the world.  We build upon history and I hope we are learning from it.  However, I think there are some mistakes that we seem doomed to repeat.  It seems that war, prejudice, poverty, hunger, and the like will always exist in our world.

Then we enjoyed a lovely meal before heading to Leister Square (I know I spelled that wrong, but I can’t remember how you spell it!) to get tickets for a Broadway show.   Then we did a little souvenir shopping before heading back to the hotel to get ready for the show.  Then we went out to see The Lion King!  Which was simply spectacular.  I have seen this Broadway show before and I knew that it would be great.  The costumes were simply amazing.  Definitely worth the money.
