We left Oban today to make our way to Glasgow.  Our first stop on the way there was a Inverary Castle, home to the Duke of Argylle.  It was really different then the other castles we’ve seen.  It’s far from being a ruin; it’s more like a museum inside a castle.  I enjoyed touring the castle and seeing the different artifacts.  The castle itself is interesting and beautiful- very grand and majestic.  The castle is surrounded by gorgeous gardens, and I took the time to walk around them and enjoy the beauty.

Next we stopped at a National Park for lunch.  The gardens at the castle were nice, but they don’t even begin to compare this park.  It was really gorgeous.  I would have loved to spend the entire afternoon hiking around there, but unfortunately we only had an hour there.  If I lived in Scotland, I would love to take a picnic in the park on a Sunday afternoon with my family.  That would just be delightful.

From the park we climbed back on the coach to arrive at our final destination of Glasgow.  We had to part with Keith and Mike today.  They were so much fun and so great to us.  I’m really going to miss them.  I hope the people that we get in Ireland are as good as them.  I’m really looking forward to Ireland and going to another country.  Although I’m hoping we spend at little less time on the bus, and a little more time seeing things.  I’m not complaining too much though- the bus rides were an excellent chance to catch up on sleep, which I needed to do because we leave early every morning.

Glasgow isn’t my favorite city.  It’s not as scenic as Edinburgh, and considering that I didn’t want to go shopping, there wasn’t that much to do this evening.  I ended up coming back early to try to get a decent night’s sleep.  However, I did get some yummy Greek food that I loved!  Greek salad is the best!
