Stories from my Madrid Adventures!

So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

And the summer weather continues...

Its been a busy (and warm) last couple of days! Normally I would do better at updating but the shade to my window is broken and stuck shut which means I avoid going into my room at all costs because it is soooo crazy warm...haha.  I am currently sitting in the living room because being in my room is slightly unbearable with the sun beating in so strongly!

Well yesterday after work I met up with Natsuho (the Japanese girl) and we went out to a cafe and walked around town a little...then at night, the roommates and I went to a tapas bar called "El Tigre".  The tapas were AMAZING...by far the best I've ever tried over here!  We all found ourselves eating wayyyy too much though because the tapas just kept coming as people continued to buy drinks.  Nonetheless, it was pretty worth it!

Today I had a short day at work and stayed only until about 1...it was probably the busiest day we've ever had though - lots of bookings coming through, phone calls, and people walking in, so good thing there was three of us working today! After work, Natsuho and I met up again and we went to the pool to get away from the warmth for a while.

I've decided I'm giving up on putting up with the heat and I MUST buy a fan...I honestly feel like I am less functional and tired allllll the time just because of the fact that this heat is so intense...also I have never drank sooooo much water in my life.

On the bright side, the change of roommates is going really well, and the 5 new ones that moved in within the last week are very nice and even more social.  We have went out to eat everyday since they've all moved in, which is really nice, because it gives us some time for "roommate bonding".  In fact, Sunday when we went out, we got back at about 1:00 am and were all extremely slap happy from the heat, and it made me happy because it was a moment I totally would have with my friends back home...haha.  Also the laundry machine broke down yesterday and it was full of soap and then flooded the ktichen and wee got quite a kick out of it...hopefully the new roommates don't think we're weird.  As of right now, there's 11 of us...we lost the French girls :( and we also lost Maria (also known as Mu), but she just moved to a cheaper place, so she stills comes over to visit all the time :)  As of right now, its me, Geraldine (French), Luigi (new Italian roommate), Carolina (Brazilian), Arturo (Mexican), Eva (newish roommate from Czech Republican), Alonso (Mexican), two girls from Slovenia, a girl from Finland, and another girl from Peru.  I suppose I should get on learning those girls' names...oops...

My apologies if this blog is slightly out of order or difficult to read...I am soooo friend right now....AHHHH

Pretty sure I could fall asleep right now...FAIL.
