Stories from my Madrid Adventures!

So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

And the world cup continues....

Sooooo as many of you many know, Spain did indeed lose today's match at the World Cup to Switzerland :(  Fortunately, people didn't seem super depressed about it, seeing as we still Spain still has two games left in which they can redeem themselves :)  Its amusing to me how much the people here get into the World Cup, and the cool part is that since the people I've made friends with over here come from a whole bunch of different countries, every match we watch is almost always somehow associated with one of my friends here and their home country....in fact, tomorrow I am going to a Mexican bar to watch the France vs. Mexico game with both my French and Mexican roommates...haven't really decided which side I'm going to root for yet though, lol.

Other than the World Cup excitement that is currently taking over everyone's night, I ended up having a really good night with my roommates last night!  After I got back from work, Arturo (otherwise known as Torito) invited me to come out to eat with some Latvian girls who had just arrived that he was showing around.  Most of the roommates ended up joining, and we stayed there until about midnight since the workers are friends of Arturo's (which also means FREE STUFF!!!!)

Also, I'm extremely excited, because I am working tomorrow morning, which means NO class, which also means I get a lot more free time in the evening.  I guess I will be able to brace myself for the game with the French/Mexicans, lol.

On another positive note, I think I'm getting better used to the noise here, because I've been sleeping a lot more peacefully this week, and feeling better in the morning.  Now that my morning schedule will be calming down, I'll probably start trying to run before work or something to get my body out of its ridiculous habit of counting on crazy amounts of caffeine to get just a few hours of energy...

Right now I am quite tired though, so I will continue on with the journal entries tomorrow!! Good night all!
