Well I would say my trip to Valencia with Eva was a success!  Definitely a lot of sleep deprivation involved, but we saved a lot of money so it was worth it.  We got to Valencia a little after 2:30 am on Sunday morning, wandered the city center a bit, and then when we realized the buses didn't start til about 5:30 am and we really wanted to get some sleep on the beach, we decided to start braving the long walk there.  Fortunately, about 20 minutes before 5:00 when we were getting really tired from all the walking, we took a break by a bus stop and found out that there was a bus route to the beach that started at 4:45...as expected for Spain, the bus was quite late, but it was mUCH better than walking. We wandered around the beach and found a spot...ended up moving about an hour later because some annoying drunk people were annoying us and throwing sand at us...then when we woke up again, the sun was up and it was nice and warm!

We spent literally the entire day at the beach...haha.  Other than when we did some wandering to the touristy shops and to go get some lunch (had to try out Valencia's famous paella), we stayed along the water until the business we rented some comfy chairs from closed up around 7.  AND by some miracle, we didn't get that sunburnt...weird,,..

Afterwards, we went to go get some dinner, then took the bus to one of the most famous spots of Valencia, the Museum of Arts and Sciences.  It was one of the most fascinating, most modern (for Spain) museums I've ever seen...pictures will definitely be up soon. It looked even cooler at night!

Unfortunately, since we got what turned out to be the last bus at 10:30 pm to the museum, that meant there were no buses available to take from the museum to the bus station!  So being the cheap people we are, we decided to avoid the taxi fees and just walk since the bus didn't leave until 1 am anyway.  We decided to take a detour through the city center which kind of failed epically since the streets were so confusing and not labeled well, but 2 hours later, we made it to the bus station just as planned!  We were basically in a coma for the entire bus ride from being so tired from sleep deprivation and lots of walking....lol.

It was a lot of fun getting to travel with Eva though....I've hung out with ere a few times outside of the house before, but its always with big groups of people.  Its still funny to me how similar our personalities are to each othere...so I guess its kind of a bummer that she lives in the Czech Republic and leaves later this week :(  But I guess that just means more international friends...lol.

I was deader than dead this morning and quite out of it at work...then I get back to the apartment and can't get myself to fall asleep for longer than 10 minutes...FAIL.  I've got a blanket hanging up in my window to keep the sunlight out since my shade's still stuck open, and the fan that was broken before is somehow magically working again!  The question is, how is is STILL 93 degrees in my room?? LAME.

Its weird not having our roommate Luigi here anymore even though he was only here for two weeks...and now Carolina, our Brazilian roommate, is gone for the next two weeks in Holland, so that means most of us will be gona when she gets back! :(

I've decided to go get groceries now because it means I get to soak up all the joys of the air conditioning that El Corte Ingles has to offer...I intend to shop veryyy slowly...haha
