So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

Other than the fact that it is still really warm and making it hard to stay energetic these past few days, things are going very smoothly...the metro is up and running again, only 50%, but that's better than everything being closed, and far less chaotic for the population of Madrid.  Last night I went out with one of my new roommates who is from the Czech Republic, so it was 2 Chezch Republicans, a Swiss person, and myself.  Only one of them knew how to speak Spanish well so we ended up speaking English, so it was very easy for me...lol.  We wandered through some different parts of town and got ourselves a little confused with our whereabouts, but we still made it back!

Today has been insane because they are setting up some sort of gay pride festival that takes place in the plaza in front of my apartment...which means there is lots of music at all hours and a lot of crazy, ecstatic people running around.  Currently there is also a concert taking place in the plaza BEHIND my apartment, so this area of town is quite a happening place right now.  Hopefully that doesn't mean sleep will become a privilege for the next few nights, because I'm pretty sure the festivities go all weekend.  Should be interesting!  People get quite excited about events/festivities here!

It is currently 10:30 at night and it is 86 degrees fahrenheit in my bedroom....lameeeee.

On the bright side, I am going out with my roomies tonight for a bit!  And it appears we are actually leaving right now...lol
