Stories from my Madrid Adventures!

So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

Lots and lots of orientation!

So my day started off at 8:30 am with some language classes to whip my Spanish into shape for the internship!  I'm surprised I even woke up seeing as I had the HARDEST time sleeping last night...all through the night there was constant noise, one of those obnoxious sounds being a ridiculously load garbage truck at like three in the morning...why I do not know, but I probably found myself waking up around 10 times last night and staying up, but I didn't want to shut the window either because that would make it wayyyy to ridiculously warm to sleep.  So I guess my next investment will be a good quality fan so that I can sleep in peace with my window shut!

Anywho, classes went well, and I tested into the level I wanted :D  Then I got tossed into this random room that was in the middle of its class session (kind of random).  There was only one student from the US there, the rest were from Germany, Israel, and China I believe?  Kind of cool to meet people from a variety of places though.  The day went pretty smoothly for the most part. I was especially glad that I found the place so easily, seeing as I left a half hour early expecting to get lost a bunch of times and ended up finding the building in under 10 minutes...lol.

Later this afternoon I'm headed off to my interview/orientation for my internship, so I'm hoping it goes well!   After that I'm hanging out with someone from Florida who's working through the same agency and got here a few weeks ago...YAY for hanging with Americans who speak English! haha

--Random side note: I met someone today who I swear is related to Napoleon Dynamite...no mullets seen today though.

Also I should probably buy groceries today for once, because everytime I leave the apartment with full intentions of buying food, I end up buying clothes instead so my cupboard is still basically empty.  FAIL.

More updates later today!! :)  --Most likely with pictures :)
