Stories from my Madrid Adventures!

So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

Time please slow down!

Time is still flying by way too fast!!  My roommates are continuing their streak of enjoying social lives that consist of going out every single night...haha.  I guess I may as well enjoy it since there's not much time left...and now up until Monday is going to be absolutely INSANE.  Right after work I'm meeting up with Natsuho to go to the pool, then we're meeting up with Katie to have dinner since Natsuho is leaving for Malaga on Saturday so this is the last time we will get to hang out :(  If after that my roommates try to talk me into going out and about with them, I HAVE to say no...lol.   Tomorrow I have to run to Forocio and pick up stuff for the Portugal trip this weekend, then I have to go somewhere across Madrid to go pick up some brochures and bring them back to the office, load up more minutes on my minute-less cell phone, fly back to the apartment (hopefully my suitcase will be packed by then) and then board the bus to spend the weekend in Lisbon, Portugal!  Should be fun :)  Good thing its slow at work today because it allows me to update the blog well I'm here so its like I'm doing two things at once...lol.

The rest of this post is dedicated to random thoughts...haha

Eva is leaving on Saturday which means today is the last time I'll hang out with her :(  Maybe I'll see her in the Czech Republic someday...lol.

Also, we listen to the Shakira World Cup "Waka Waka" song about 10 times a day here at work...it will probably be engraved in my mind forever and always remind me of Spain and my work at Forocio :)

-Also apparently Will Smith and his kid were in Madrid yesterday and so was Jackie Chan....I noticed a commotion in the Plaza del Sol but didn't think anything of it, I guess I should've stuck around to check out the situation so I could've seen them...FAIL.

-It freaks me out that the time keeps going by faster and faster and now I only have a week and two days left here :(  Not that I don't miss things/people back home, but the time over here has been both enjoyable and very comfortable, that its kind of depressing to think that I have to leave it so soon!  I feel like this trip has had so many different stages to it, its weird...for some reason when you're abroad, the things that happen within one month are like the amount of things that would regularly happen in 1 year in normal time....don't really know how to describe it but its quite strange!

-Pretty sure the fact that I talk to so many people that speak such broken English, its starting to affect my English, not gonna lie.  You know how they say you start to copy the things the people around you say?  Well that's what's happening to me...lol.  Quite a few of my roommates speak English and actually even prefer it, but having daily conversations with people that speak the language in a slightly broken up manner and living with these people as well has definitely caused me to have to think about a few phrases I've said before saying them to make sure that I say them right!  ---The extreme run on sentence I just used there is not meant to be an example of this or anything...lol

-As ridiculous as the heat is, I really don't think it even bothers me anymore

-The two new Italian girls living here seem to be really nice! YAY for foreign friends!

-Sometimes the internet here reallyyyy fails, but at least we have it :)
