What is your funniest travel experience?

Let's see here....so my friend Lisa and I decided to try out couchsurfing in London for spring break, and we arrived at the Stansted airport at 10:30 pm, which was about an hour outside of London. . We had pretty much no idea where we were going except for the fact that we knew we had to take the train into town. We ran like crazy fools to the train with all our bags at 10:57 pm seeing as the last train was due to leave at 11:00. We immediately flipped out, thinking we may be on the wrong train, and started yelling at random people, "Is this the right train?? Is this right?" Not gonna lie, I'm pretty sure they thought we were psycho, but we didn't want to end up in some random town with no train to take us back the right way again. Fortunately, it turns out we were on the right one. When we arrived in London, we got on the wrong underground tube, and the worker there felt so sorry for us because they were getting ready to close, that he told us which way to go and gave us a free ride in the right direction. Once we got to the right stop, we still had like a half mile of walking to do to get to our couchsurfers' house, and at this point it was about 1 in the morning and we were slightly freaking out that they would be in bed already and we would be stuck homeless with all our bags. So once again, like a bunch of crazy looking idiot tourists, we ran down the street with 20 bazillion pounds of luggage only to find that literally every single house on the street had their lights off... except for ONE HOUSE: Our couchsurfing hosts' house :) We were sooooo extremely relieved...we rang the doorbell, they answered, and said "Hey, you're the American girls?" And in we went and joined in on the party they were throwing

So this journal blog thing is kind of confusing, first I have to make an entry, and then I make the actual journal I believe??? So we're going to try this :) So this will be where I'm storing all the journals for what takes place from now until August 9

Well Mexico did indeed win the world cup yesterday (2-0!!) and everyone was VERY excited about it.  I went to the same Mexican bar I went to last week, with both Mexican and French people...lol, needless to say the French were very outnumbered...one again the Mexican people were VERY into the game and the most enthusiastic group of people I've ever seen.  When they scored their goals (especially the second one), they screamed and jumped for probably 5 minutes straight, and everytime they got to see a replay of it on the TV, it just made them even more ecstatic.  Once the game was over and their team was victorious, the enthusiasm only intensified...the videos that are loaded with this entry don't do it justice!  I definitely got beer in my eye from the bartender spewing it everywhere to celebrate...lol.

The French friends we were with were very good sports about it, and one of them even joined us for a celebratory dinner afterwards.  We didn't get back until 1:30 am which was a little rough seeing as I had school and work today, BUT I am officially finished with class!! YAY!!  I got a taste of what it will feel like to only work and not do class when I worked yesterday morning instead of going into the school.  I'm definitely going to loveee my schedule now :)

So far I'm really enjoying my internship, I'm gradually starting to do a little more, and now that I don't have class getting in the way, I'm looking forward to getting even more involved....starting with me going on a group trip with the company to Ibiza next weekend...WOOT!

(I suppose I should stop the blogging and get back to work...lol)
