What is your funniest travel experience?

Let's see here....so my friend Lisa and I decided to try out couchsurfing in London for spring break, and we arrived at the Stansted airport at 10:30 pm, which was about an hour outside of London. . We had pretty much no idea where we were going except for the fact that we knew we had to take the train into town. We ran like crazy fools to the train with all our bags at 10:57 pm seeing as the last train was due to leave at 11:00. We immediately flipped out, thinking we may be on the wrong train, and started yelling at random people, "Is this the right train?? Is this right?" Not gonna lie, I'm pretty sure they thought we were psycho, but we didn't want to end up in some random town with no train to take us back the right way again. Fortunately, it turns out we were on the right one. When we arrived in London, we got on the wrong underground tube, and the worker there felt so sorry for us because they were getting ready to close, that he told us which way to go and gave us a free ride in the right direction. Once we got to the right stop, we still had like a half mile of walking to do to get to our couchsurfers' house, and at this point it was about 1 in the morning and we were slightly freaking out that they would be in bed already and we would be stuck homeless with all our bags. So once again, like a bunch of crazy looking idiot tourists, we ran down the street with 20 bazillion pounds of luggage only to find that literally every single house on the street had their lights off... except for ONE HOUSE: Our couchsurfing hosts' house :) We were sooooo extremely relieved...we rang the doorbell, they answered, and said "Hey, you're the American girls?" And in we went and joined in on the party they were throwing

Yesterday was probably the hottest day we've had to deal with yet, but I would asy it was a success nonetheless!!  I went to the movies with Katie and Natsuho to go see Eclipse, and then we met up with Xixi to go watch the Spain soccer match at our favorite Irish Pub, O'Neills, and we WON!!!  I have never seen the entire city stay soooo enthusiastic for such a long amoutn of time.  People in the plazas were going crazy, screaming/crying, running around, jumping in fountains, and the people in cars driving back home were blasting their horns and flailing themselves with their flags our of their windows....haha.  It was by far the most hilarious thing I've ever see...these people were soooo proud of their country.  They have all sorts of songs and chants that they sing to celebrate during the games, and everytime something remotely exciting happens during a match, people start screaming and jumping and banging on the walls and tables.  Since the place was so crowded in the first place, pretty much the entire building was shaking...lol.  After the game, we went to observe teh craziness and two housr later, when I was back at the apartment, I could still hear people screaming and cars burning out or blasting their horns.

I've decided I'm no longer complaining about the heat in my blog like I do everytime, and from now on it will just be a given...haha.  Although I must say that going to bed last night with it still being 95 degrees in my room was slightly insane!

Yesterday at work was crazyyyyy with lots of bookings and translating things, but it was really fun.  Today not so fun because we had to send an email to a bunch of Americans explaining that we were canceling a trip that was suppsed to be happening this weekend :(  FAIL.

I'm LOVING the A/C and ran in this office right now....it makes me never want to leave....
