Barcelona has been a great change from Swizerland.
It is so hot here that I feel as though I am melting! I have gone swimming on most days either at our pool or at the desert-like Barceloneta Beach. It is lively here in a way that is definately lacking in other western european cities.The streets (particularly Las Rambles) are packed with bewildered tourists, hippy types, street performers, elaborately dressed mimes,etc. Its noisy and a bit chaotic and some of the buildings look rather bizarre particularly Gaudi´s artitectural monstrocities like Sagrada Familiara and Casa Mila.

It´s my last day here in Barcelona. I can´t believe I have been here for 5 days already! I fly to Frankfurt tomorrow and Athens the day after. Greece is apparently ablaze....mmm that should be interesting.
I am used to the fires every summer in Sydney but I cant say I want to tour around a country when its on fire!

You have no idea how much you have inspired me to travel. So much that I have decided to even visit a few cold places during my trip OS next year.... the hot springs of Iceland here I come!
