The last few days have been quite hectic. It started with a 4am wake-up and travel to Tokyo airport to catch a plane to Frankfurt, Germany. Our plane took a really interesting path across Northern Japan and Russia. I could see wild looking mountains and no sign of human inhabitants over parts of Russia. Later on we flew over siberia, but we couldn't see anything out of the windows which just shone eye-searing white light.

When we finally arrived in franfkfurt some 12hrs later, it was a bit of a shock. Japan had been so cheap and clean and alot more organized in comparison to frankfurt. Food is just so much cheaper in Tokyo. Plus we arrived on an empty sunday afternoon, everything was shut and we had to walk past the central station several times to get to our hostel or as we explored the area, and the station is just a nasty place full of all sort of derelicts from all corners of the globe. There was one german steretype which was funny to see, especially on my first day in germany. There was a festival on the main street in the old town, it was crammed with people drinking huge steins of beer and munching on sausages and sauerkraut.

Overall Frankfurt has a nice old town, even if 80% was blown up during the war and was rebuilt. But really there is not much to see and it's easily explored in a day.

After 1,5days in frankfurt was had another terrible morning flight. This time I took Ryan air and yes its airport really does seem to be in a paddock in the middle of nowhere. We had to get up at 1,30am to get to the airport for our 6,30 flight!

We arrived in Oslo-Torp on the 4th and as we took a shuttle bus into oslo, i was very pleased to be surrounded by the fresh, green looking landscape of Norway. It really is a lovely place. I have enjoyed staying in Oslo immensely, even if I have been sick and have pretty much lost my voice! We visited the Viking ship museum, vigeland sculpture park, vigeland museum and the munch museum. It is so hot here that all the beautiful blonde nordic folk are bikini-clad in the parks. I have been staying in a camping ground that overlooks the city...Outside my tent door I can see a field of flowers and the sprawling city of oslo below. There are heaps of trees and walking trails around the camping ground too. I have noticed one particular type of bird that sounds like a machine gun. It's just plain weird.

Tomorrow I am heading to lofoten islands in the arctic circle were I will meet my friend Mark. Another morning plane but not as insane as the others. I have learnt my lesson and will thoroughly stay clear of morning flights.

I can't add any pictures at this internet cafe but I will add some later when I can.

Hi to everyone reading this!
