In America we are lucky, our government values things like education and makes public programs available to its citizens so that children without much money can attend school and receive the opportunity to develop their mind and work to make a difference in their own lives through progression.  However, in other countries governments can be corrupt and neglectful, hording all the money into the presidential suite while leaving the citizens of the country destitute and starving.

     Most of the time the big government systems hold all the money and power and the people that it governs have no way of breaking free of the corruption and are forced to live and die in poverty, working 14 hour days in a field to barely scrape by with their life and health.  

     But, even though money is the # one motivator in some situations, allowing the children of developing nations to receive an education and therefore become aware of what is happening around them and what if anything they can do to help their situation, brings with it the hope that maybe someday the corruption of the world can vanish.  For who else would be a better candidate to govern a body of people fairly and equally than a previous member of the slums that has experienced first hand the results of greed and corruption! 

     Through the programs at Globe Aware, for a small tax-deductible contribution people like you and I can change the world first hand!  Just like GoAbroad, Globe aware is a non-profit organization that helps people connect to developing communities overseas and dedicate their time to the projects that are most important for the needy people in them.  Globe Aware offers week long service projects in which individuals, families, students anyone really, can immerse themselves in another culture and experience truly life changing events while changing the lives of those in need the most.
