Eggs for breakfast!
Travelled downtown to the historic convent across the ancient bridge by the jail Met with the head of the education program, a couple of nuns and about 8 young children---who are our clients for this our service learning permaculture design and building---
We toured the shady play area and dreamed up benches and chess sets and swales to stop eroision and gardens and fruit trees and animals made earth and mosaic that would inspire---the kids helped with this in their adorable shy way, and we will sketch out a plan and give to the mother superior for her approval before we deliver materials and complete the community action next week!
Classes in soils and zone 1 planning and design---then a hands on practical in compost composition and creation----
I got to have some one-on-one time with our faculty and dinner and last minute shopping in town before I head off to the waterfall with the group, but leave early to head to Brasilia and my flight to the US---Tired and kinda dirty, I will miss this place and the inspired students and the nice folk of IPEC and Pirenopolis---
Na proxima visita! Tschau....
