Hellllooooo! :)

Its about 6:15pm here now.

Tara and I went into the city yesterday by ourselves for the first time!! it was really nice. they have fast food and stuff like Mcdonald's and all that. Thats where we went to eat before we began our shopping. we had to get towels and i bought a pop up laundry bin. OH AND SPEAKING OF LAUNDRY, Jonas (our roommate: its not spelled Yonis haha) told us that to do laundry you have to buy tokens and the tokens are like 2 Euros per token so it takes one token to wash and one to dry. So thats like 4 Euros which in american money is like almost 8 dollars! ugh! for one load of laundry. and it sucks because i brought like noooooo clothes. so im going to have to do laundry a lot. i yi yi. not to scare you mom, but im seriously going to run out of money soon. but i'll do my best to budget. its hard to budget right now though, because we had to stock our house full of our food, so we went grocery shopping in the city. we took a bus out there and then had to take a taxi home which was 13euro. expensive! we had to take the taxi home because we had so much to carry that we would not have been able to carry it from the bus stop, thru campus, over the bridge and back to our appartment haha noooo way.

so the city was awesome and i felt very accomplished that we got to take the bus by ourselves and learn a little bit of how to be independent and get by on our own. we continue to get weird looks sometimes haha im sure we dont look like we know what were doing. You barely see any of the name brand stuff in the grocery store here ,like you do at home. the only one i really notcied that was the same was green giant canned corn and peas and phillidelphia cream cheese. everything else is a strange brand ive never seen before. but on the other hand, with beauty supplies, there's Olay, Aveno, Clean and Clear and all of that. so i bought Garnier Nutriese shampoo and conditioner and Olay face cleanser, and some strange brand of body wash that is irish made.

I have no idea whats on the TV. i flip thru and cant find the channel Jonas watched with the offic or scrubs. all i find is an Irish version of talk shows and like an Irish version of Nickelodian kind of thing. haha i'll have to ask him about the channels.

Ok so all of the rest of our roommates came in last night! THEYRE ALL BOYS! haha its me, tara and 4 boys. haha the ones name is Donal, and the other two i introduced myself to this morning but they didnt give me any names and were very quiet? haha idk they must be shy. but i'll corner them at some point and force info out of them hahahah jkjk. but seriously.

i could sleep forever here. i dont know if its the jet lag still or what but i slept till 1 today and i didnt even go out or anything last night and i seriously could take a nap right now. ugh. always tired. i need to be more strict with my sleeping schedule.

but all in all everythings nice and good, and im having fun. ive stopped freaking out a little, i think im getting more comfortable here. although, of course i miss all of you at home. but i feel ok. were having a little bit of trouble with scheduling our classes, so hopefully that gets figured out soon. Classes were supposed to start today but not for us i guess.. makes me feel a little stressed not really knowing whats going on. hmmmph.

There are some scheduled trips coming up. The one isn't until march but you have to sign up in advance. but its 135euro or so. its for a weekend trip to the ring of kerry, but its all inclusive. i dont think tara will go beacuse its expensive for someone whose seen it already. but i definitely want to. its for a whole weekend and includes food, board, entertainment, and so on. then theres one this week but i forget where were going but its 35euro. but they said the price might be reduced.

I AM DEFINITELY joining the outdoors club. i figure they will show me a lot of nice places too. and i might join the international club. we will see. they really get on your butt about joining clubs here haha.
