What is your most embarrassing travel experience?

I fell down at Tokyo Disney, ripping open the knee of my jeans and tearing my knee open as well T-T.

Tales of a Tall, Blonde Gaijin

From start to end, an in-depth look at the experience of living in Japan through the eyes of an overly enthusiastic American girl. My hope is to make this journal less tourist-y and more sociological [not to mention FILLED with pictures once I get there].

...the glass and the darkness of some of the animal houses...

It was such a glorious day outside today, especially in contrast to what it was like yesterday [gray and yucky out]. The sky was clear and blue, the weather for the most part was mild [the wind made it a little chilly, but nothing to complain about].

So what does one do on a glorious day like today? Go to the zoo, of course! I got myself down to the Ueno Zoo with no trouble. Apparently their star attraction used to be Ling Ling the giant panda, but sadly due to heart failure, it passed away April 30th of last year. Despite this, there are still many interesting animals that I got to see today. Unfortunately, the glass and the darkness of some of the animal houses made it difficult to get good shots.

I came home and was reorganizing my desk [which seems to be becoming a weekly ritual, because somehow that's where everything ends up], and I found a paper reminding me that I have my first excursion through the school coming up! It's a bike tour of Yokohama [which should be interesting, considering I haven't ridden a bike in years....].

While there's not much to say here, there is a TON of pictures I need to upload for you all. I'll try my best to remember the names of all the animals I have pics of. If you see a mistake, please get ahold of me and correct me.
