 ...around alone without a definite idea ..... 

Today didn't go as planned [yet again]. I'm starting to think that I shouldn't plan so much...I didn't end up going to Shinjuku like I said I would in my previous entry, because Perri wasn't up to it this morning, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how rather pointless it'd be for me to roam around alone without a definite idea as to what I wanted to go and do or see. So instead I ended up staying home to finish some of my homework and plan out some other weekend trips for myself.

I did, however, stick to my idea of going to Tokyo Tower. Words and even the pictures that I took don't do the Tower justice. There's so much to see in the Tower itself that I'm going back this upcoming week after class, just so I can have enough time to see and do everything. They have an aquarium, art gallery, wax museum and a Guiness World Records of Tokyo hall....that's not even including the two observation decks. I HAVE TO GO BACK.

 

Observations:
1. There's a large Indian population here in Japan. Just thought I'd mention that.

2. Something else that I didn't think to point out until today....while in Japan, one will notice a large part of the population wearing what looks to be surgical masks. The reason for this is two-fold. Some wear the masks because they are sick and they don't want to spread their germs to those around them [especially on the trains, because there is limited personal space in such situations]. The other part is that some wear the masks to try and prevent getting infected. I also have a theory that a small part of the teenage population wears the mask as part of a fashion statement....
