What is the most interesting culture you've experienced?

Japanese, for sure. They have modern-day culture in Tokyo, but outside of Tokyo there are still parts where people still forage for mountain roots as a food source. You get the spacey fashions in Harajuku right next to the traditional kimono and shrine uniforms.

Tales of a Tall, Blonde Gaijin

From start to end, an in-depth look at the experience of living in Japan through the eyes of an overly enthusiastic American girl. My hope is to make this journal less tourist-y and more sociological [not to mention FILLED with pictures once I get there].

....and they have an armrest type dealie with buttons.....

Just wanted to mention that there are SO many things I want to take pictures of to share with you all, unfortunately there are many that I can't because I think I'd be looked at as a creeper if I did [which carries with it the possibility of jailtime. Here in Japan they can hold you for up to 23 days without charges]. For example, there are gaggles of school kids in there little uniforms that are so cute in the subway stations, but I can't take pictures because no matter what country you're from I think that's kinda seen as a creepster move...

My classes are a little overwhelming so far. I have two tests on Monday that I need to memorize A LOT OF STUFF for. And I apologize for the overuse of caps, but for now it feels right....

Haven't taken any new pictures to upload. No new foods cause I've been trying to save money by eating at home instead of out.

....and I had some observations to post here, but for the moment they've completely slipped my mind....

OH. Yeah, the toilets at school are nifty. The seats are heated, and they have an armrest type dealie with buttons, where you can choose to have it spray your fanny with water, make the seat warmer, play music to cover up any nasty sounds you might be making [xD] and spray air freshener....I think I might try to get a pic of that one of these days. The toilets in some of the restaurants are the same, too.

...there was something else but I can't recall at the moment....ah well...
