Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, and Dingoes...a wonderful day outside the city

I haven't been on a bus tour since I traveled to Europe after my high school graduation. Definitely felt like a tourist, but the scenery in Dandenong National Park (huge mountain ash trees, fern trees - a gorgeous temperate rainforest), the view and wineries of the Yarra River Valley, and the animals at Healesville Sanctuary made for a wonderful day.

I'm off for an early morning start to tour La Trobe U., so more details later, but I wanted to get these pictures up now!

So sweet that you went to visit the koalas. Did you know that the aboriginal people of Australia say they are souls of departed children -- or I think that's what I've read. I'm sure all those little souls were glad to see someone as nice as you.
