After a short plane ride I was in Brisbane. Another major city in Australia this was more like Sydney and Melbourne, than Cairns. The hostel we stayed at was a true international hostel. There were people from Ireland, England, France, Germany, Sweden, and many more. The people were real nice and friendly, everyone wanted to know where you were from and what you were up to. In the city we just did some sightseeing walking around and seeing what was around. Again like Melbourne, Brisbane didn’t feel as clean cut as Sydney but it was still nice. There were some huge plazas with a lot of different stores so we did a little shopping and caught a movie in the local IMAX theatre. The next day we walked to the river and laid out at another lagoon type pool. There wasn’t much too Brisbane really but it was still a good place to visit. I was just looking for some fun in the sun so I couldn’t wait until we headed to the Gold Coast next.
