It's been on of those days where all the hard work you put in as a volunteer pays off. Two of my stories went on air this evening for PLUS TV. It feels beyond wonderful to see the hard work you put into something come together and even get recognized! Work at the station today was amazing because I got compliments of things that mattered...for example, the kinds of questions I ask during my interviews. It honestly was a awesome thing to hear. My excitment comes from the frustrations I have felt at one ponit or another when people didn't show for interviews or I sat and waited in the killer heat for 2 hrs ( ahhhem Mayor J.A.)
Watching the 6o'clock news brought an awesome feeling. I am a part of wonderful team trying to make a difference in Cayo. PLUS TV is Christian based so they focus on positive stories. I am so lucky to have been placed with them this summer. Thanks ProWorld!
Tomorrow I will officially be recognized as the San Ignacio correspondent for the station on live broadcast! I am very excted. I will be doing a story on healthy living and a man who is 100 years old.
To make a great day at work even better....when i arrived home my host family was waiting for me. My mother sent a package for them two weeks ago all the way from Texas and it finally arrived! So we spent the evening opening all sorts of goodies like chocolate, make-up, books, perfumes, cookies....and all sorts of fun stuff. Today, was honestly one of the best days I have had all week ;) Its only Monday!
Things are off to a great start this week!
