Before I get into the drudgery of answering the assigned topic I feel I must relate the joy that I experience everyday here at IPEC. Its wierd being in the middle of this Living Routes program and knowing that I'm in the middle of a life changing experience. To clue you into the awesomeness that is a runof the mill day here at IPEC I'll walk you through my day today. It begins if I so choose with yoga outside watching the sunrise and hearing the birds chirp. This always puts me in a fantastic mood and some how makes me feel more connected with the natural environment here at IPEC. Followed by an organic and delicious breakfast and my morning class. Class in the orning usually takes place in an amazing man made dome. This structure is incredible not only because it was built one brick at a time by community members hands but because it was made of bricks from IPEC itself. Quite often I find myself distracted by the fusion of human creativity and earth that is embodied by my classroom. Today we discussed trees and how to provide the most beneficial environment to support tree life. After class we usually head to lunch followed by a glorious siesta. It is my opinion after a week and a half that Siesta's are the pinacle of Civilization. After Siesta Lucy gave us the permaculture system of event management. After we got the rundown on event planning we began planning our preperations for our community efficiency Pizza night, and our work at the school tommorow. After we had all of our preparatory jobs assigned we went straight to work. This was really something to see Lucy had us all pretty fired up and the entire community came to life like worker bees. All hands were on deck and everything felt taken care of. After I finished my job I had some down time that I used to climb the waterfall and taken in the beuty that is IPEC. Now I have realized that it is time to go eat pizza and I didnt leave myself enough time to actually get to my assignment I will have to forgoe my nature hike next time.
