I went back to Oaxaca in November and December and forgot how much I missed it.  I left last April and have been traveling quite a bit, but getting back to Oaxaca reminded me how quickly it felt like home.  I saw some old friends, got to make a few new ones, went to my favorite taco stand, ate some of my favorite foods in the world and got to show some family around my adoptive home.

I think I judge a place by how quickly I feel comfortable and Oaxaca is easily in the top 3.  I got off the plane and a friend was waiting at my hotel to take me out for an evening of fun.  I stayed with my family in an amazing apartment (and captured a sunset in photos).  I moved into my own apartment and although it wasn't perfect, it was wonderfully located, I had a great roommate and it quickly felt like home.

I'm glad to be home, but I'll miss so much about Oaxaca that I hope to get back sooner rather than later.
