It's Saturday, since our doctor has an appointment he moved our therapy in the afternoon.
A-pe Qiong decided to bring us to their cemetery so we can visit taeko (great grandfather) and taema (great grandmother). On our way to the cemetery, which is located behind a junk yard, I saw a lot of people looking for scrap metals.
I thought their cemetery is like the public cemetary back in the Philippines, considering it's location. But then, I'm wrong. It's a mausoleum with a very big metal gate. They always close this and you have to call the caretaker before hand so he can open it for you. They do this since there are a lot of burglars around.
A-pe lighted incenses before entering the mausoleum. He lighted again four incenses infront of taeko and taema's urns which were place in a ceramic container. We bowed to them 3 times and asked them to give us good health and long life.
Afterwards, we went outside to offer money to their gods and to taeko and taema. But only a-pe is allowed to do this. He separately burned their moneys so they may receive them in the after life. Btw, a-pe did not burn Chinese Yuan. Hehe.. Chinese people have different money for the dead.
On our way home, we saw gigantic dogs. I was scared at first because of their intimidating size! But they were really friendly. =)
Before going home we passed by the wet market. A-pe will buy meat and vegetables for lunch. Wow, even in their market I saw girls in mini-skirt and high-heels. Hehe.. But what really caught my attention was the dog's head in the sink. Huhu.. I think it's still a puppy and it had it's tongue out. It was a horrible and painful sight. =(
