My First Trip to China

A journal about my first travel experience in China. I'll be having a therapy here for my scoliosis, hopefully my spine gets better.

There's no facebook here in China! Good thing there's GoAbroad.net! =)

I could have my scoliosis treated but I'll be having a heart attack!

We had our therapy again. My spine is still excruciatingly painful.. Huhu

Beside our hospital is a huge building that sells clothes, shoes and bags at the cheapest price. It's like a wholesale store, but they also do retail. We decided to go there before going home. =)

It's almost 12 noon, a-pe called aunt Ester. We have to go home. Our lunch is already ready, so we took a cab to Chi-mong. We took the underpass to cross the street since the cab driver dropped us off in a high way. A-pe's house is about 5-minutes away from the main road.

I could have my scoliosis treated but I'll be having a heart attack! While we were walking in the tunnel (underpass) motorcycles and bikes would blow their horns like mad. They don't even have a "keep right" rule, so you'll encounter a motorcycle infront of you and behind you at the same time. Plus, it is totally dark in there. And imagine doing this everyday! Waahhh!

We're back to a-pe's house. He's prepared a lot of food for us. A-pe cooks really delicious foods. And he's really nice. =) Btw, while eating he drinks alcoholic drink (30%) instead of water or tea. He finishes a bottle every meal. But he doesn't get drunk even so, and he does this every single day.

So ok. Now, I'm living the average Chinese life here. We live in a 20-year old ancestral home of A-pe which he built himself. I just feel blessed that I am here. Sooner or later, the government will tear down this place. They will be replacing old infrastructure with new ones. And a-pe together with his neighbors will be given a new place to live..
