We arrived early at Quanzhuo Osteopathy Hospital. We first had our X-ray. My x-ray result told me that my spine is leaning to the left. The last time I had an x-ray it wasn't like this. My Filipino doctor told me that I didn't have to worry, my scholiosis will no longer worsen. So what do you call this?
The doctors in this hospital don't know how to speak English. I just have to rely on Aunt Ester's translation.
After analyzing my case, the doctor called a nurse to assist me. She placed something on my back that was vibrating and squeezing me. She then placed a machine that was heating my back while the 'vibrator' (lol) was doing it's thing. Hehe..
After 30 minutes, the doctor manipulated my spine. He warned me that it will be excruciatingly painful for 3 consecutive days, but after that the pain will be tolerable. He turned my spine to the right. Ouch! He said that he will straighten my spine! Wahh! I hope he does.. I can't wait for my last day here. Even if he wont be able to perfectly straighten it, as long as I see a considerable development, I won't let any doctor back home handle my case. I'll just come back here in Quanzhuo!
After our therapy, the elders brought us to a fine dining Chinese restaurant. Everything that was served to us were spicy! I kinda liked some of them. Then, the waiter served taho. I almost ate all of it! Haha.. There was also this delicious poultry-like dish that was served. It tasted better than chicken. I don't know what it was, the bones were too small for a duck, too big for a fish. I'm not sure if it's really a poultry, for all I know it could be a frog (ewww) or a turtle.
After having lunch, we went to the house of Nino's mom's other sister. She and her husband lives in a condominium. They live in the 19th floor, so we took the elevator. At the left side of their condo is a mountain with a golden horse on top of it.
Their house has centralized air-con. At first I thought it was small but when I went inside, I realized it was big enough for five people to live. I was amazed with their appliances, and when I used their bathroom, the toilet bowl is computerized! Wahh!
After drinking tea and eating almost all of their chocolates in the table, we went back to our hotel. It was still early so we decided to explore nearby locations. It was the first time that we were able to stroll without the watchful eyes of the elders. We bought anything that appealed to us. At around 7PM, we decided to have our dinner. We were looking for any food that wasn't Chinese. So we walked and walked even if we were already very tired. How happy we were when we saw Pizza Hut! We were like kids. We even crossed the street even if we were not in the pedestrian lane! Haha
When we reached there, the waitresses only speak Mandarin. Aunt Ester only knows Fookien. So, we ordered by pointing at the pictures in the menu. Luckily, they got everything right! Hehe
