I thought this trip wont be pushed through. We have a big project in the office, delayed NBI clearance, passport application for some of our companions, visa application.. but in the end, here I am.. in China!

I'm with my boyfriend's family. Nino, Mae (my bf's younger sister), Aunt Ester and his mom planned this trip so they can have their therapy. They have already tried a lot of hospitals in the Philippines for their back pains, but still no hope. I went along hoping that they can do something to my scholiosis.

We left Manila at 2:10 in the afternoon and arrived in Xiamen City at 4:25. The sun was still up, but unlike in the Philippines, the air here in Xiamen is cold. We were fetched by the Chinese relatives of my companions and brought us to their house in Jinjiang City. They invited us to their home and prepared us some tea. Then, they asked us to go to their dining area. They cooked a very delicious welcoming cuisine.

Aside from tea, Chinese people welcome their guests by cooking this food. It was prepared in a small bowl with four soft, chewy balls with sugar, grinded peanuts and sesame seeds inside. Each bowl have four balls and soup in it. I forgot it's name, I couldn't even pronounce it.

We then left their house to go to the hotel where we will be staying. It was a four-star hotel in Jinjiang City named Rongyu Hotel. There's a computer in our room, with internet that was super fast. Hehe.. We were so happy but a bit worried, for sure the hotel is really expensive!

Filipinos are fond of giving 'pasalubong' (gifts) to people they care about. So we brought dried mangoes and Pilipinas shirts for them. Before leaving the hotel, we sorted out the gifts that we have for them. We were fetched by BMWs with GPS inside. We then gave them the shirts and dried mangoes. We will be visiting the house of the daughter of Nino's mom's sister. We stopped by a clothing and garments factory coz they live upstairs. OMG! We brought cheap shirts for them, we didn't know that they own a clothing factory! It was so hilarious. That's why they have BMW with GPS! That's why she was wearing an LV scarf! We didn't know they were rich, their parents were very simple. And they never talked about it the last time they visited the Philippines. We were so embarrassed.

It's dinner time, we were served with chinese foods all of which I wasn't familiar about. I ate using chopsticks and drank hot tea. I can't eat well, I'm not used to using chopsticks. My food always fall! Haha.. But I love the tea. =)
