I open my wallet I notice he is looking in my wallet with me

My spring break was an adventure. It started on a Friday morning with me and my roommates heading to Rome to spend the night so they can arrive on time for their flight Saturday morning and I can be on time to pick up my boyfriend who was coming to visit for 10 days. So while we are on the train we noticed there was no where to sit unless we sat with other people. So me and my roommates got stuck sitting with these guys who were about the same age as us. It was a little uncomfortable so my roommates and I just laughed the whole time. Somehow we started talking to them and we found out they had never met any Americans before, so immediately we exchanged facebook url’s and took a picture together. Thank god for those Italians because that 3 hour train ride was a lot more interesting than we thought it would be. We finally arrived in Rome and found our hotel. We were pretty hungry and while we were looking for our hotel we passed a restaurant with a really cute waiter standing outside and he told us to come in but we wanted to check into the hotel first so we told him we would come back. Sure enough, we went back to eat there. This place was a dive. They sat us in the basement where people kept coming down into with suitcases and leaving with nothing and then another person would come down empty handed and leave with the suitcase the other person had just left there! In the middle of our crappy dinner, a typical guido with the gold chains and everything came down with a suitcase, opened it up and it was nothing but clothes and shoes with tags still on it and he layed it all out on a table! Another man comes down and starts asking him what size the clothes are and how much he is offering them for! It was a fiasco, and that cute waitor never even came down to see us or take care of us. We went there for nothing and it was the most random night I had ever experienced. So we went back to our hotel and fell asleep. We woke up and I could hardly hold back my excitement and FINALLY it was time to head to the airport to pick up my boyfriend! To get to the airport from where we were staying I had to take a direct train to Fiumicino’s train station. It is actually really convenient, it’s about a 30 minute train ride and it drops you off right in the middle of the airport by the terminals. I had no idea where this train was departing from or how to even buy a ticket. So I put my Italian mode on and I start asking people. Lucky me decides to ask a little old man. I thought it was strange that he was talking to people and people would walk away but I didn’t know what the heck he was saying so I thought nothing of it. So I ask him where I can buy the ticket and he is overjoyed so he says ill help you and he takes my hand and starts telling me how pretty I am and what’s my name and where I am from and why I am here and so he takes me to the ticket stand and tells the lady I am his friend and I need to get to the airport and I need a ticket. So she tells me how much the ticket is and as I open my wallet I notice he is looking in my wallet with me so I quickly pay and take the ticket and walk away. Before I get the chance to get far away he asks me if I could give him some money to eat because he is poor and he helped me so can I help him? I felt absolutely terrible and thought something like this WOULD happen to me so I give him 70 cents and walk away. I get on the train and end up in the airport outside customs. I am waiting for his plane to land at 8:35 which was in 15 minutes. I am waiting and waiting and 8:35 comes and goes. Surely by 9:30 my excitement is non existent at this point. FINALLY, he comes through customs and I was SO happy and excited to see him. I couldn’t believe he was really here! So we got back on the train to go to the train station to go back to Perugia. Ill start off with saying that under no circumstance what so ever are people allowed to stay in our apartments. I had also planned for Santino to come back to my apartment after I picked him up and we would stay here until the next morning when we left for our journeys across Europe. That same Saturday our landlord and a plumber were supposed to be coming to fix our shower. It was already 4pm by the time we got back to my apartment and I had assumed they would come early in the morning. WELL, as we are unpacking he gives me all the treats my mom sent over… She sent me Cheez-its, chips-a-hoy, ranch dressing, and my favorite tasteycakes. So I set them on the kitchen table and finish setting everything up to pack. Wouldn’t you know I hear the doorbell ring! I am absolutely frozen and so is Tino, so I pray and pray and pray it’s not for me even though I know fully well it is. We wait in silence and luckily they leave. SO… we finish getting things ready and about 10 minutes later I hear the doorbell again but this time, I hear a key enter the door and try to open it! I throw into the corner of them room and shut my bedroom door quietly and I go over and open the door… CIAO!!! It’s the landlord and the plumber. I let them come in and they go straight to the bathroom and start fixing the shower. The landlord who is a woman, comes out and starts talking to me. I get so nervous and I want to keep her occupied so I offer her my cheez-its and I tell her all about them, she says no so I offer the cookies… she says no so I offer her the tasteycakes… she still says no so I nervously open them anyway and eat them and talk about how good they are and italy has nothing close to these. She asks me if she can open the windows and I say sure so ignoring the kitchen window right next to us, she heads for my bedroom door and as I am choking on my cheez-its in fright I try and scream NO! and I try to calmly convince her my bedroom door  is already open and there is no need for her to open that one.. so she opens the kitchen window. We talk some more and finally they are done and they leave. THANK GOD. I drop to my knees and I don’t know what to do first, pray or cry…
