"luckily to my advantage it had none of the fish I liked."

Foligno… there is absolutely NOTHING to be said about foligno other then being there for about 20 minutes and eating lunch for 4 hours. My kind of day… ANYWAY… some students, my professor and I traveled to foligno, which is a tiny FLAT town about 15 minutes by train north of Perugia. We were going to see Blessed Angela of Foligno because we were learning about her in our saints and relics course. Her body is incorruptible so we thought it would be a neat thing to see. So we traveled to foligno and found the church and explored inside and took pictures and then we left. It was pretty cool and I am glad I went. After the church, we found a cute little restaurant and decided to have lunch. If you’re not familiar with what ravioli’s are stuffed with over here in italy, then I suggest you do not order any type of ravioli or tortellini during your stay. No matter where you go they are stuffed with raw sausage mashed up into mush and it’s grainy and disgusting. And no matter how many times you ask if they are stuffed with ricotta cheese or any form of cheese and no matter how many times the waiter always tells you “si, con ricotta”, THEY ARE LYING! Do not under any circumstance order that type of meal. Why I thought this time would be any different from the 10 other disappointing meals I have tried I am not sure, but I ordered them and didn’t eat my 12 euro meal. But I had ordered an appetizer of the sea… luckily to my advantage it had none of the fish I liked. Shrimp from a can doused in mayonnaise and ketchup, mussels and clams the size of my fingernail and snails was not what I had imagined. My stomach churned the entire time of disgust until I ate the snails and found that I really do like them… At least foligno was good for something.
