The flat I'm living in is super cute, it's a 6 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor and I have an amazing view of Calle Arenal

I made it to Madrid safe and sound after almost 11 hours of flying! I am getting all settled in to my place in between taking 5 hour naps to get over the jet lag. The flat I'm living in is super cute, it's a 6 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor and I have an amazing view of Calle Arenal. The building is a 200 year old building so its very historic. My bedroom is much bigger than I was expecting and it even had a little balcony that looks out onto the lively Calle Arenel. There are 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens, although one of the kitchens is TINY. Speaking of tiny, there is an elevator in the building and it is the smalled elevator I've ever been in. It was quite interesting trying to fit my 3 bags, myself, and the person who picked me up from the airport into the elevator. Lets just say it was cozy. I'll post some pictures in the next few days and you will all see what I mean. I have only met 2 of my 5 roommates. Lisa is from Michigan and she is also over here doing an internship with Adelante. She's super nice and we get along great. Kirsten is from Austria, she doesn't speak much English and my Spanish is not the greatest yet so there is a little bit of an language barrier but I'm sure she is very nice too! I don't think she is doing an internship, she might be an international student here. Then there are 2 other girls from Korea who I haven't met, but they are also international students. And then finally, there is one guy who is arriving from the US tomorrow who will be interning over here. So it looks like I will have 5 girl roommates and 1 guy. For anyone that is wondering about the time difference, it is 7 hours later here (from MN time). So my internal clock is kinda outta whack, since I'm writing this at 345 a.m. Well, that's all I have to share for now. I am going to attempt to go back to sleep so I can wake up at a normal time tomorrow. I'll be posting pictures and maybe some videos in a few days so check back for updates!
