This weekend has been a nice break. We had a few days to travel but I took the break while I have it. Other people went to various places, they had some fun.

I have been spending most evenings here at the campus center watching some DVD's. When my cord arrives in the next few days I will be able to watch them at my apartment which will be nice. In a bad sleeping pattern and can't shake this sinus cold. It's probably because of the constantly changing weather.

This week we have class for four days. We were supposed to have Friday off but since we have a lot of material to cover before our big trip he wanted to get as much done ASAP. Also, there is a schedule trip to a local vineyard for a tour and wine tasting for friday afternoon so we thought we might as well have class.

For the weekend a lot of people are doing different things. The couple that is here is celebrating their one year anniversary and going to a beach-area on the coast of Italy somewhere. My roommate Keisha is going to France to visit a friend. Some other people are considering going to Amsterdam. I am unsure, I have a day trip to go to Milan, I don't know if I will feel up to it, we will see.

We restart Italian lesson again today, hopefully we continue to gain knowledge. Before I came here I didn't think I was that great at French but since I've been here I realized that I am not all that bad at French. I couldn't hold a serious conversation but I could get myself around fairly well. Its weird that I know think in French. Kinda creepy too.

Other than that just getting by each day. Finished my paper, might do a little editing and soon we have another one, just a basic response to our trip last week. What amazed us, amused us, disgusted us etc. It should be pretty interesting.

The only other news I have is that one of my best friends, the one at semester at sea shaved her head. It is a ritual and she had a good reason to do it. At first I was freaked out and confused, it didn't seem like something she would do. She did it to make a point though and also its a ritual supposedly. Now I really appreciate her enthusiasm. She is learning a lot and really expanding her horizons. Don't worry just because I appreciate her enthusiasm doesn't mean I want to do it. I am too much of a wussy and I like my hair.

The housing stuff is coming together. As we expected my one friend dropped out so we had to find another girl which we did. Hopefully we will get the apartment. We don't have to pay utilities which is nice, only townhouses do. So it should all work out. I will be living with Ms. Bald Melodi (even though her hair should grow back by then) and Christen (my roommate from last year) and the new girl is named Lauren Payne. She is a transfer and a psychology major. She seems really sweet and like we will all get along. She also has a furniture connection so we will have quite the sweet apartment. I will keep you updated on the housing. I am lowing my meal plan since we will probably be cooking here and there. It evens out since living in an apartment costs more than any other place I have previously lived in. It shouldn't be too bad.

Anyway back to class. Love and miss you guys.

If you didn't get my email by the way my SMCM email is all funky which I was warned may happen so email me from now on at eternallyawkward@gmail.com. I can receive your emails but can't seem to send any.

Keep in touch.

Ciao.
