So today is Friday and I am so glad. It has been quite a long week, I was ready for a break. We aren't usually supposed to have classes on Fridays but my teacher wanted to squeeze in as much info as he can before he start traveling. The rest of class and that crazy movie was pretty boring. I didn't take a nap i was so proud of myself and was pretty tired but we ended up going out and meeting up with some friends and me and my friend Molly ended up staying up late. I chatted with Uncle Jim on skype it was pretty sweet. We got our new doors they are beautiful. They don't really match the house but they close and are so nice.

Yesterday everyone had a hard time staying awake in class. We went to the market and there was nothing I needed so me and Molly went and took a power nap while everyone else was at the market. Then the afternoon was filled with another boring movie. They arent that bad its just a lot of it is pretty basic information and also very old fashioned so sometimes they are hard to watch. After class I took a nap then we went out to dinner at Duchessa. I tried some Rissoti which is rice and it was pretty good. One of the people in my group has been trying weird foods. Last night he tried frog legs, he couldn't get me to try them. I asked them what they tasted like and he said "squid" and that didnt help me at all since I've never had squid. Silly boys. After that we met up with the rest of the group who decided to cook dinner and went out and got some gelatto. Then we met up with some of our Italian friends and hung out for a short while.

Its so fun that we kind of have a social network here already after less than 2 weeks. They have been showing us where the cool places to hang out are and inviting us to events. They are pretty entertaining. We have plans set up with them this weekend. So they finally gave us cell phones or at least they gave our apartment one cell phone. Paul is trying to get us individual cell phones especially for when we travel independently. This is just the first step hopefully.

So I figured out the problem with my computer is that that adapter is broken. I used another girls charger and it worked fine. The people at the company I bought the adapter from told me to send it to them and they would replace it or fix it. I have to pay for shipping though but it isn't too bad. Hopefully I can get this situation fixed soon and also hopefully we get wireless soon.

We should have our euro rail passes just in time for our trip not this sunday but next. This weekend other than that plans with our italian friends my teacher decided we need to get out and go to Torino which is a big city about an hour away by train. We are going to go to the Egyptian museum and hang around town for the day. We are going on sunday early and getting back later in the evening. It should be fun and it will be nice to get out.

So we are allowed to take Italian lessons but we will not get credit for them, it was too late to add a class but it is ok it will still be worthwhile. I am excited to finally not make a fool of myself. The only other interesting thing to be coming up is visiting the chocolate factory itself.

I am feeling a lot better it was just a little sinus cold thank goodness. I am still not sleeping that well but hopefully soon I will be. I miss you guys. Hope you are all doing well.

Ciao

Katheryn
