Greetings from Istanbul,

This is quite a change from what I have been to previously. I am loving i though. So the last couple of days have been rough but beautiful. Our last day in Athens we spent on the coast. We went to some ruins of the myceanians I believe. It was almost a hike but a beautiful view. Then we visited a tomb and then a old theater. It was all so beautiful. It was a jam packed day. Then it was off to catch our ferry. The ferry was a lot nicer than we had before. Still we didnt get to enjoy it too much. We left around 9 pm and arrived in Crete 6 am.

Our day in Crete was wonderful. After getting off the boat we got breakfast and relaxed a little. Then we went to a archaeological museum. Then we headed out of town to go to some ruins of a palace. It was very interesting. Then we had lunch in a little town and tried some local specialties. It was all very nice. Next, we went to another museum and then I sat by the water and read and relaxed and made my way slowly back to the harbor.

Caught the overnight ferry again. Hung out with my group and enjoyed the ferry. 6 am wake up again. From Athens harbor we took a bus to the airport. Had some problems when they checked my passport. Apparently someone in Italy forgot to stamp my Visa when I entered he county. They took me off to a room to the side. I was so scared. We worked it out. Then we got to Turkey, the flight was only a little over an hour. We then got a bus to our hotel.

We have a beautiful hotel. Me and Keisha have a view of two of the biggest mosques in Istanbul from our hotel window. It is amazing. We got lunch at a lovely local kebab-like place. Now I am uploading photos and other such things. We have the rest of the day off, most people are napping. The nice things about Turkey is that for example when I took out 60 lyres (spelling?) today, it only cost me 50 american dollars. Some things can be more expensive but it is definitely a little better.

There is free wireless here so I am working on getting stuff done. I am going to upload my favorite pics from the trip so far for the fam rather than all of them because its hard cause i have so many. My friends can check facebook for pictures. i am also working on my spring break plans and planning my trip to France.

There is a lot going on. I'll update more when I can. Love you and miss you

Kat
