So Italy so far has been a series of challenges for us. Between getting locked out to not having furniture and still not having wireless and electrical problems. Our new challenge is based in our washing machine. At first when I found out that we had no dryer I was ok i understood that we would just have to hang our clothes. But that real challenge in drying our clothes lies in the fact that our washer has no spin cycle to remove excess water from both the clothes as well as the washer itself. Therefore when removing clothes from the washer we are not only left with soaking wet clothes but also a washer full of water to have to cup out slowly. Oh Italy how you like to test us. We have been trying different cycles and asking around but so far no luck. I haven't done laundry yet but soon i will have the pleasure of sticking my hands in dirty water. The other challenge is unlike all the other apartments we have no line to hang our clothes so our apartment has become covered in underwear jeans and bras.

Yesterday after lunch we watched a part of a weird movie and then walked all the way across town to the Ferrera Chocolate Factory area. We went to this art museum whose art work I believe is possessed by one of the previous owners of the chocolate factory. It had beautiful artwork. I took some pictures. After that I relaxed and finished the Godfather. I loved it. I hope to borrow the movie from Paul. I heard it is quite good.

Today we are getting new doors for our apartment. I am excited especially since our bathroom door doesn't close all the way, it will be very nice to not have to worry about someone walking in on you. Other than that I am sadly getting sick. It is most likely a result of being around too many smokers, which has resulted in the tickle in my throat. On top of this I have been trying to get into a good sleeping pattern which has only resulted in total frustration. Last night I went to bed at 11 so that I would get plenty of sleep only to wake up 2 hours later unable to get back to sleep. Italy really is testing me. I am just going to settle on the fact that Italy does not want me to sleep.

In happier news I have a skype date with Uncle Jim and Aunt Dana on Saturday. I have only skyped with Trey and Christen so this will be an interesting experience. No other news to report other than I am making it by slowly but surely. Today other than class we don't have anything special planned. I may go to the store and get some cheese to eat with crackers. I don't have too much of an appetite right now.

Right now my class is out getting coffee, since their hot chocolate is too thick and I don't drink any coffee-like drinks I stay back and use the computers. When we get back we will be watching a semi-boring semi-interesting movie on how we are all related to a tribe in Africa. The part of the movie that is actually interesting is the host who like to use weird dolls as props. He is quite eccentric. Its fun watching people watch the movie seeing as a lot of them fall asleep. My teacher doesn't seem to care. He is a pretty cool guy. Hopefully today isn't too bad. And hopefully tonight I can sleep.

Miss you guys

Ciao
