What are Travels Journals? How do I create one?
Travel Journals are like diaries detailing a summary of experiences from a trip. To create a Travel Journal, click on the "My Passport" link at the header of the page. From the "My Passport" page, click on the "Create a new Journal" link under the Travel Journals section. You will be directed to a new page. A form will be displayed for you to fill out basic information about your Travel Journal - a title and a summary description.
What are Travel Journal Entries? How do I create one?
Travel Journal Entries are like sections or installments describing a certain leg of a trip. To create a travel journal entry, you need to first add a Travel Journal. After adding a Travel Journal record, you will be directed to a new page. Enter in a location, date, title and your travel experience.
How do I change my profile photo?
To personalize and enhance your profile, you can upload a photo to appear along with your profile information. Simply click on the link Manage Profile Photos. This link will let you view or change your profile photo.
How do I upload pictures?
Click on the "Manage Entry Photos or Upload Photos" link after adding/editing a Travel log entry. Click on "Browse" and select the photo that you want to be uploaded from your computer. After having selected the photos you want to be uploaded, click on "Upload". You have the option to add a caption after uploading.
How do I send messages to other Travelers?
To send a message to another traveler, go to their profile page. Under the user's profile picture, click on "Send Message". You will be directed to a new page. Enter in a subject and message and click "Send". Your message will be stored in your "Sent" folder.
What are groups and clubs?
This lets you form online social circles with other Travelers who share the same interests as you have. Anyone can create a Club and it may be for just about any interest under the sun; you may join any number of Clubs. A Group, on the other hand, may only be created by a GoAbroad.com client or Advisor, and may be used for communication between participants of a program. For non-participants who are interested in a program and would like to join Advisor Groups to find out more, you may put in a request to join; however, depending on the settings of the Advisor, membership to some groups may be by invitation.
To join/add a Group/Club
Click on "My Passport". On the bottom part of the right panel, you will see the
Groups/Clubs section. You can create or join a group/club using the links in
this section. You may also join groups/clubs from the "Groups/Clubs" tab.
Click on the "Groups/Clubs" tab; this will take you to a page that lets you
view all groups and clubs or search groups/clubs by category or group/club
types. At the bottom of every group/club description, there is a link Join this
Group/Club.
