We tried some of the best wines of the region!

As soon as we arrived in Mendoza the first thing we wanted to try was definitely wine!

So we took a bus that would leave us in Wine Museum, because we wanted to se the vineyards and learn how wine is prepared.

When we got down from the bus we realize most people go by car because the museum is far away from the main route! You can hire bicycles but it was too hot to go by bike.

Luckily we found a taxi. It was occupied, but the two travellers inside where students from the Cordoba Spanish School and we already knew them. So the four of us shared the cab and went to the museum. It is huge, with impressive vineyards and a fantastic winery. We were taught the procedure to make wine and how to identify and taste them correctly. I’ve never tried such delicious wines!

The guide showed us very interesting details about wine. They even sell them as wedding souvenirs! They replace the brand label for another with the names of the newlyweds and the date of the party. Awesome!

We also visited a smaller and more traditional winery called Familia Di Tommaso winery that was very cosy and entirely made of wood.

We bought some bottles since they are inexpensive and much cheaper than in supermarkets and shops.
If you ever come to Mendoza don’t miss these amazing wine tours, they are fabulous!
