We visited Evita’s grave

Besides going around the bustling streets of Buenos Aires, we also visited some cultural and historical places that shouldn’t be missed. The Recoleta Cemetery is one of those places you should stop by since you will find the graves of many famous people from Argentina.

We were especially interested on seeing Eva Peron tomb. She was a leading figure for the “Peronismo” political party and she introduced many important changes during the government of her husband Juan D. Peron.

Though dead, Evita still is one of the most enigmatic characters of the Argentinean history. So we headed towards Receoleta.

The journey was quick because it was very hot that day and the cemetery was not out of the ordinary.

In front of it there is the huge and impressive Recoleta Square. We spend some hours under the beautiful trees to relax and decide where to go next!
