And the adventure continues in Costa Rica...

Dear all,

Here we find ourselves approaching the end of another amazing week in
Costa Rica...waterfalls, ziplines, hot springs, and community service.

Arenal was an amesome trip. We had some crazy horseback riding to get
to the zip lines and then hours of fun zipping through the thick
rainforest canopy. The hot springs that evening were a welcome respite
from activity. Plus dinner was AWESOME!!! And then more soaking, of
course...;) I think everyone will like the waterfall pics - La Fortuna
Waterfall for me is the most spectacular in Costa Rica. It was
incredible!

This week we had something interesting happen on Wednesday. The town
is getting ready for their 140th anniversary (Aug 7 - 10) and so we
are helping prep the benches in the plaza to be painted. I got a call
from Chanel 11 in San José asking what we were doing and if they could
come film. It ended up being really fun with a few students getting
interviewed and everyone getting on the camera. I'll pick up copies
from the TV station in San José next week! Pretty awesome experience!
AND everyone did an EXCELLENT job of working on the benches.

Monday night was our cooking class - we divided into small groups and
made some delicious empanadas and a coconut desert. Today is our dance
class and tomorrow I'm leading an optional hike to catch a glimpse of
some howler monkeys rumored to be at one of the farms near town. I'll
keep you posted!

Best,
Brent
