So, yeah – I feel really bad because I kind of forget a lot of things that have happened this week. So if it seems boring, I am REALLY sorry. Nevertheless, I will try to make it as exciting as normal.... I know it will be for the end of the week - I PROMISE!

Monday was baddish, because I found out that I am cursed when it comes to trains. I always seem to be on the train that breaks down; or has to stop every 2 minutes for 5 minutes at a time; or the one that does not go to my town, due to construction work, so I have to switch trains. Very frustrating. On Monday, I was 7 minutes late for my class, which is BAD. But the bright side to that is that 3 people were 10-30 minutes late, so I was not the last one in the room! J The only issue was that I was supposed to meet with a friend/classmate 20 minutes before class (so we could compare answers for the scavenger hunt, which I thought was due that day), and I could not meet her because of the stupid train.

Tuesday... was that Mardi Gras? ...... Well, many DIS students decided that they were going to PARTY that night, and keep up the American tradition. I was going to go and join in on the fun... but I have the same issue here that I have at Okemo. Once I go inside from skiing, or take the HOUR commute to get home, I just do not feel like going out anymore and I want to relax. So I decided to stay in... like normal. I plugged my Ethernet cord into the router, and chatted with some of my favorite people on AIM. As well, I played games ...sigh... very fun.

Wednesday, I decided to not only sleep in, but stay in as well. Except for one thing – I exercised today!!!! Can you BELIEVE it?!?! Haa. So my host mom ‘forced’ me to play tennis with them outside, on a home-made court. But it wasn’t likt the tennis we play, on a court with a net. It was with paddle-like rackets, and no net. But it was still fun. I think my family was surprised that I can play sports because I keep saying how unathletic I am. So ... surprise for all! J I had wine at dinner. I was able to drink the whole glass ... which is new for me .... actually swallowing wine and stuff. I don’t think I will drink it often, but ... knowing I can is a good thing. But then I got kinda light headed, so ... not that great. My friend who I was supposed to meet on Monday, Laura, called me at 23:20 to see if I wanted to meet her Thursday morning, before class, to go over the answers. Well, I had tried going to sleep starting at 10:45. I was drifting off at 11:10. When my phone rang, I freaked out, not knowing what the time was. And she felt so bad about waking me up, which was really nice. But I didn’t even know I was asleep, so it was fine. No worries!

Thursday, we met. Ha – finally. And I think we did really well on the assignment, which is good. Laura and I studied for a quiz we had in class.... I think I only got one wrong (... where’s Børsen?) Also, boy #3 came over to our table, and started quizing us what might be on the test, and making sure we knew where things were placed and used for and stuff. So, yes. I encountered him again. But, no, I did not get his number like a few of you have told me I should. Lets let that be the aim for boy #4, okay? But even better was that Thursday was Daddy Day 1!! J That is right – I got my FIRST visit!! It was really nice. I showed him around, a bit. Like a few of the places around the school. Then we went a-wandering to find a good place for dinner. What I have found out about Copenhagen is that there are a LOT of ethnic restaurants, but not that many Danish restaurants. We finally found a restaurant called ‘Det Lille Apotek” and it was FABULOUS!! Mom and Becky – get PUMPED for this restaurant. Very traditional Danish food, and just really flavorful and delicious!! We wanted to go there again, but decided to try different things. Then I went on the train home, realized that my train doesn’t go to my stop after 20:00, so I had to switch. Gggrrrreeeeaaaatttt...

Friday, I had sex on the beach ... but that story comes later. First, I will start at the beginning. I was nervous all day because Dad was going to have dinner with my host family, and I just wanted it all to go all right. So I had all of my classes and stuff, then had Dad meet me at the Museum my class was at. So, for my Ancient Art and Archaeology class, which I am Class Representative for because we get free tea and cakesJ, we went to the National Museum, which has a FABULOUS collection of ancient Greek pottery. Dad met me there, when class was over, and we went around Copenhagen again. We had these hot dogs as a snack. Now, let me tangent about these hot dogs. You can, literally, find stands for this food on every street! They get the most business late at night, when drunken people need a snack, and it is delicious. You can get different types of hot dogs (small ones, pork ones, etc). You can pick if you want to dip it in sauces, have it in a bun, or have it in French bread. The later is my preference. Then, you can get mustard, ketchup, mayo or flavored mayo (they are BIG on their mayo). For the ketchup, it is very different from ours. Theirs has this really sweet flavor to it, giving it a weird taste – but I feel like I only feel like that because it is a new taste.

So Dad and I went on the train (that stopped in-between the stop before Allerød and Allerød, so that frustrated me. Next, I showed Dad around my town, then we took a bus and then walked around my neighborhood a bit, because we were early for dinner. I showed him my room, and the house, and then we had drinks with my family. First good beer I think I’ve had yet – it was “Royal Red,” a tasty. Then we had this delicious lasagna. I think it was green pasta, with vegetables inside, and this spicy kick to it – SOO good!!!! And Dad did well ... made a good impression (I believe) and we all had good conversations. Then he and I left to go back to the hotel. At the hotel I had my first ever “Sex on the Beach” [And I bet you thought it was something else, now didn’t you?? ; )] It wasn’t too bad ... wish it was tarter, but c’est la vie. Dad and I watched the end of Monk, then the end of American Sweethearts, and then went to bed.

Saturday was ... long. It was very much a tourist day, and was just ... tiring. We went to the Resistance Museum, the Royal Palace, the Round Tower, Strøget, Kongens Nytorv, and MORE. Then we went to this French restaurant ... which kind of sucked. The duck was really good, but what went with it sucked. Sigh ... too bad. We then went to this HUMONGOUS movie theater with 17 screening rooms ... but all the [good] movies started an hour earlier. Failure. Then, across the street, we saw the “Charlie Wilson’s War” was about to start, so we rushed in, got our tickets, got popcorn and soda, and went to our seats. One thing I kind of like is that it is assigned seats, instead of first-come first-serve; so you know exactly where you are going to sit, and do not have to worry about not being able to sit with who you come with. Then, on our way back to the hotel, we went to the gas station and bought breakfast (REALLY good yogurt) and booze (a Smirnoff Ice for me and a can of wine for dad). We chillaxed in the room, Dad went out to get more drinks – but the place was closed, I finished reading The Nanny Diaries, and we complained about how nothing good is on TV. Then National Treasure comes on and we are enthralled. So, sadly, I now need to watch the sequel. Sigh.

Today, I came home, and am being a bum, and it is fabulous. Well ... I am going to do homework soon, so I guess not a complete bum. But ... yeah. I promise that pictures will be on Facebook soon, and I hope all y’all had a great weekend! What is on tap for me in the future:

- Thursday (V-DAY!) – trip to Odense until Saturday

- March 8-30 – SPRING BREAK!!

- April – visit Paris (+ a special someone) and Sweden

- May – finals and HOME!!!

So ... yeah ..... I would love to hear how life is going for you, so you’re updates are much appreciated. Have a GREAT week, all!!! J
