Blue has got an flat in Paris, its an ideal place, its near almost anything, you can basically walk to the metro, supermarket and even to pubs and restos. I wonder how much the place cost, must be a lot to keep up with. And whats good about it, is that opposite the road is a river. The famous river in Paris. anyway, I really liked the place no wonder Blue is keeping it up to this time even though he's no longer based in Paris.
I didnt realised I slept the whole afternoon after the morning walk and the "dejounee", perhaps I was so tired from the trip, there was a kid who was crying on the plane all night so I didnt sleep from Abu Dhabi to London trip and I got so confused in Heathrow Airport that I just wanted to doze off the moment I see France from a distance. Guess I just did.
When I woke up I walked towards the fridge, I felt really hungry, much to my surprised apart from champagne and white wine, there was only milk, cheese and nothing else! Hmmm. I couldnt believe I still dont know Blue much. So, I told him that I wanted to eat something. He told me to changed and we will go for a walk. So, I quickly changed and got ready in 20 mins...That was really fast. Pressures from the stomache!
We walked like 3 blocks away from the flat past a railway and then reached to an old building, well - most buildings in the area are old. The door was huge, you can compare it to a cathedral. We walked in and voila, it was like an avenue of restaurants and with a park - well looks like a park! It was dark so dont blame my judgments. We entered a small cafe and the place was just packed, we couldnt get a table so we sat at the bar while waiting for a vacant place. Blue ordered a bottle of wine as they dont serve per glass, you have to purchase the bottle. That alone tells me I am in France. The barman was really nice and the staff were really polite - but they dont speak English! Blue was challenging me with my French, so he told me to order my food in French, I did very well however when i said thank you very much in French! Blue laughing in front of my face! Mistakenly because of how I pronounced the words I said in French "merci beau cue" (thank you, beautiful/nice ass).. it was supposed to be "merci beaucoup" - which means thank you... I spot the shock on the waiters' face but understood that I meant something else. Blue had to jokingly apologised.
That was by the way embarrassing but definitely a good learning experience - and by the the food was great. "c'est bon restaurant"
