On a train headed for the Blue Mountains

I am wicked tired. VERY wicked tired. I am currently headed to the Blue Mountains where I will hike for several hours. Thing is- I just got to Sydney about 40 minutes ago. I got a cab (really expensive!) to the hotel, was at the hotel for 5 minutes (long enough to get sneakers and jeans on), and then I headed out with the group. The group consists of 2 girls, Andrea and Anna, who are from Keene State College in New Hampshire and will be attending the University of Newcastle, and Brynn, our local "tour guide," who is American born but has lived in Oz for the last 5 years. They are all very nice and I'm happy that this is our group.

I was very warm when I got here, but now I'm REALLY cold. It is winter after all- though, its a 11°C (50°F) kind of winter. Considering how warm it is for winter.. I'm still REALLY cold.

The train is going slower than I expected. I wonder if we'll speed up. It is a 2 hour ride, so I'll have time to sleep or read. I wish I had a blanket or pillow though...
