I spent Sunday in Yanahuara at Sandra's house.  I keep trying to bond with Sandra and Yanett because I think young moms are really cool (I've found that people who spend all day with a crying, eating, pooping machines tend to be pretty laid back about trivial stuff, which is a character trait I appreciate).  But young moms are also almost impossible to be friends with because when they're not cooking, cleaning, scolding, shopping, or running around, they usually want to sleep.  Usually the only way to hang out with them is to play with their kids--which I can only handle for like 30 minutes.  The only time I spent sitting and chatting was with Alberto (Sandra's husband from Italy), and the conversation was actually more like an angry Italian lecture about the atrocities of American imperialism.

Yanahuara's a little more rural so I got to go on a fairly 'tranquilo' run without as much car/animal/people traffic.  I did tobistenics in an abandoned shack on the side of the road so that any potential passerby wouldn't see me doing step-ups on precariously stacked clay bricks or lunges in the dirt.

In other good news, I finally discovered how to take a non-freezing shower.  The trick involves turning on the water so that it´s just barely trickling out.  The less water pressure, the more water heat.  I managed to find a happy balance where I can have enough pressure to wash the dirt off, and it´s just low enough so that the water is warm.  Yay!

Agnus invited me over to her house to eat some cereal and watch Mean Girls.  It´s amazing how the most mundane American things have become special occasions, but it was a lovely evening.
