I started off bad with the Passport Controllers at the Airport. I asked for a pen, and they pointed to the end of the line. But besides that, everything has gone really smooth. I met my host family on Sunday morning. A mother, two daughters, and a son. The kids all speak some level of English- the mother none. So it´ll make for an interesting 11 weeks. Of course, the food is awesome...especially since I like beans and rice. I´m lucky enough to get them three meals a day. But really, there food is excellent. The showers are always cold, which will take some getting use to. It will also take some getting use to my room, which isn´t entirely inside. I have half of a wall that is actually just a walkway to the backyard. So I have plenty of small friends, a mass quantity of bugs, I get to sleep with at night. Speaking of which, I have not gotten use to their time zone (central time) or them wanting to get up at 6 and go to bed at 9. So I´m still that guy that is sleeping in far past when he should be. Anyway, I´ve been taking Spanish classes, and giving English classes during the day. This weekend I´ll post how much I have learned, or not learned. Adios.(will get some photos in the next entry)
