Ok so I'm going to try to think of some good anecdotes, Megan-style, to add here. So far the mystery meat one is pretty good. Flavio's was probably too short, and also a need to be there moment. Hmmm.
Ooo, Lucy's birthday is today! But just in case she reads this beforehand, I'll have to save it for later.
Well, we'll try this one. Allie, one of the wonderful LivingRoutes compadres, and I walked back to Pirenopolis from a waterfall. It took about an hour and was absolutely wonderful. We decided to clean up a little at our favorite place, the Armezen, and ran into Mirim, a happy man from Bahia who doesn't speak English. But we had a long, decently easy to understand conversation about raki. Apparently he's a raki master. He also likes gringo girls (according to Lucy) so it's amusing to watch him interact with the plethora of girls here. He tried doing a Raki treatment with Allie and I (it's supposed to be an energy treatment with no touching, which it was) however ants were attacking my left leg and my right leg completely fell asleep so instead of feeling energy, all I felt was annoyance and paranoia about my leg. Raki, failblog.
Also, mum and dad, how would you feel about me getting a tattoo from the same guy who did the director's daughter's tattoo? Good, ok, fantastic, get it done or I'll be disowned??? Love you!
