Forgot my dry shampoo on the eight hour flight to England.

There are tons of ducks in Ormskirk. They're all over the campus at uni, and all over the park in town. It's like they're just part of the scenery, even when they're just lying by the skate park.
You say MacDonalds, we say McDonalds.
The other day in class we talked about Robin Hood and read some of the old ballads about him and his band of outlaws. I liked reading those since I've always been interested in the story of Robin Hood, even though the extent of my knowledge about him is the Disney movie and Robin Hood: Men In Tights. We're going to see the new Robin Hood movie today after class in Liverpool, so that should be a good supplement to our class.
After class, Ashley, Jocelyn and I went to town with Gov and Chris, two of our friends from Openshaw. We went to the McDonalds in Ormskirk and got McFlurrys, which we love because they're only 99 pence and have different candy than the ones back in America. We took our ice cream to Coronation park in the center of town and ate by the duck pond. We played on the playscape for a little bit and met up with some other friends, Ian and Nicola. It was fun to run around like we were little kids for a little while, and the playscape was actually pretty different than the ones I've been to back home, which I was surprised about.
Afterward, we went to the grocery store, Morrison's, because Gov wanted to get crumpets for us to try. None of us really knew what they were, despite hearing the phrase "tea and crumpets" in association with England all the time. Turns out, we have them in the States, we just call them English muffins! We all got a laugh out of that, and wondered why we can't just call them crumpets too. We picked up a few more things and walked back to uni, just talking and laughing and having a good time. I say it all the time, pretty much every day, but I'm so glad I was put into Lady Openshaw at the start of this trip. It's been so nice getting to know everyone and I'm really going to miss the atmosphere of it when we leave for London.
That night we all went out and watched the football match between England and Mexico. One of my favorite things to do is watch sports, so the atmosphere in England during football games is one of the best things to me. It's so exciting to watch, and I love how much everyone gets into it, especially the guys. When England scores they all break into song, and everyone seems to know TONS of different ones. My favorite one I've heard so far is Three Lions, which the lads of Openshaw are fond of singing at karaoke.
