Ciao!
As most of you know, I will be leaving for Italy June 9th. I will be living in Northern Italy in between Milan and Venice for three months as a nanny for Caterina, age 7. First I will live in Brescia, then for the following two months at the family's vineyard on Lake of Garda. The Materossi vineyard has been in the family for 4 generations, I cannot wait to taste the wine and understand how the process of owning your own vineyard works! While learning Italian, I will help Caterina with her English. The challenge will be in communicating successfully since she and I only know small bits of each other's language. On my days off, I hope to visit various surrounding sites.
I plan to post pictures of the journey, share tidbits of Italian life, and in effect challenge you all to come with me next time around! I hope to hear from you as well. While this is a dream, I will miss home greatly. Thanks for your support. Love, Natalie
